WORLD PACIFIC 45 RPM
88000 SERIES
PART NINE – 88140 / 88156

The 77800/88000 series ends with this group of labels. Years of monitoring auction lists on Ebay and other sites has not yielded any releases beyond 88156. The white label version of 88155, Freddy Robinson with a stereo and mono version of BLACK FOX is an oddity (Liberty-United Artists) and other releases with this PJ label have not turned up. The nested PJ logo is discarded toward the end of this release series where the World Pacific Jazz [WPJ] replaces it. This change was also noted in the last releases of the 12” LP series ST-20100 numbers.
Artists, arrangers and producers in this series are noted with a back slash separating ARTIST / ARRANGER / PRODUCER: Buddy Rich & Cathy Rich / Shorty Rogers / Richard Bock, Buddy Rich / Harry Betts / Richard Bock, Don Ellis / Ruben Leon / Richard Bock, Don Ellis / Hank Levy / Richard Bock, Johnny Lytle / Cinema Music, Johnny Lytle / Irv Bagley / Richard Bock, The Jazz Crusaders / Richard Bock, Buddy Rich / Phil Wilson / Richard Bock, Buddy Rich / Don Sebesky / Richard Bock, Richard “Groove” Holmes / Joe Sample / Richard Bock, Gerald Wilson / Gerald Wilson / Richard Bock, Richard “Groove” Holmes / Gerald Wilson / Richard Bock, Bobby Bryant / Shorty Rogers / Richard Bock, Freddy Robinson / Monk Higgins / Higgins & Ervin of Wally Roker & Associates, Wilbert Longmire / Joe Sample / Richard Bock, Bud Shank & Bob Alcivar Singers / Bob Alcivar / Richard Bock.
